The Brief

Liberty Insurance wanted to activate its ambassadorship with Natalya Coyle ahead of the 2020 Olympics taking place in the Summer of 2021. The catch being it all had to be recorded in under 3 hours due to Natalya’s training commitments.

 
 

The Response

Covid-19 shut down the world and as we emerged from lockdown we only began to hear/see the true impact on others outside our bubbles. Those whose livelihoods and lifestyles which were considered non-essential and the toll it took on them. Olympic athletes can spend their entire life training to go to the games, they put off careers, studies, and starting families. It fills their every waking moment, their every sleeping thought and just like that, Covid-19 stripped that away. This sudden halt in their training, in their life, wouldn’t have been in their worst nightmares. 

We wanted to show how Natalya dealt with this new challenge and fought through to get ready for the games. We used a mixed media visual style to bring her story to life.
